Part I: Pattern Import
Purpose:
Import pattern pieces into the 2D window.
Operation Path:
File ➡️ Import ➡️ Import DXF File
Operation Instructions:
You may also import DXF files by dragging‑and‑dropping them into the 2D window.

Part II: Pattern Editing
I. Home Tab
Select / Move
Purpose:
Select pattern pieces and perform operations on them.
Operation Path:
Home ➡️ Select / Move
Operation Instructions:
- Selection: Click to select a pattern piece. Hold Shift and click or drag‑select to select multiple pattern pieces.
- Move: After selecting the pattern piece, hold down the left‑mouse button and drag to move it.
Right‑Click Menu for Selected Pattern Pieces

Edit Pattern Piece
Purpose:
Select pattern pieces to edit their lines and points.

Pen
Purpose
Draw lines directly on the avatar, and convert closed shapes formed by drawn lines into pattern pieces.

Home / Pattern ➡️ Edit Pattern Piece
Operation Instructions
- Draw lines on the avatar with the Pen tool. Hold Ctrl to add curve points while drawing, and hold Shift to draw horizontal or vertical lines.
- Lines drawn on the avatar must not intersect one another.
- Use the Edit Pattern Piece tool to select multiple end‑to‑end connected edges. Double‑click an edge to select the full loop of avatar lines it belongs to.
- Press the ' Enter ' key to generate the corresponding pattern piece.
Graphic Tools
Purpose
Perform operations such as drawing shapes, adding darts and points on pattern pieces to modify pattern geometry.

Pleat
Purpose:
Create pleat structures on pattern pieces.
Operation Path:
Home ➡️ Pleat
Operation Instructions:
- After selecting the [Pleat] tool, follow the on‑screen prompts:
- Select the start point on the insertion sewing edge.
- Select the end point on the insertion sewing edge.
- Select the side where the pleat will be inserted.
- The [Add Pleat] pop‑up window will appear.

Trace Outline
Purpose:
Trace internal lines to generate pattern pieces and sew them automatically.
Operation Path :
Trace Outline ➡️ Select the internal line, right‑click ➡️ Trace to Pattern Piece and Sew
Operation Instructions:
- Select the Trace Outline tool on the toolbar, pick the target internal lines, right‑click, then click Trace to Pattern Piece and Sew.
- After tracing, move the new pattern piece outward first, otherwise simulation will crash.
- fter tracing‑and‑sewing, the generated pattern piece will be placed far away from the main pattern.
Stretch Tool
Stretch‑Point
Purpose:
Split the pattern piece into two parts and rotate one section.
Operation Path:
Home ➡️ Stretch‑Point
Operation Instructions:
After activating the tool, select the start point of the split line ➡️ select the end point of the split line ➡️ choose the pattern section to rotate ➡️ (right‑click while dragging) enter moving distance / rotation angle and confirm.
Stretch‑Segment
Purpose:
Perform grading‑like expansion on the sewing edge of one side of the pattern piece. Keep the fixed‑side length unchanged, and add length to the expanded side.
Operation Path:
Home ➡️ Stretch‑Segment
Operation Instructions:
After activating the tool, click to select the start and end points of the fixed side, then the start and end points of the expandable side. Control expansion‑insertion or contraction value in the pop‑up input box; negative values are supported.
Seam Allowance
Purpose:
Set seam‑allowance data for pattern pieces for production output.
Operation Path:
Home ➡️ Seam Allowance
Operation Instructions:
- Click on pattern sewing edges to assign seam allowance.
- Adjust seam‑allowance width and corner type in the Property Editor.
- Box‑select pattern pieces to quickly generate seam allowance for selected pieces.
- Right‑click in empty area of 2D view; the context menu provides the function to auto‑add seam allowance to all pattern pieces.
- When setting seam allowance for DXF‑imported patterns, existing seam allowances will be removed in current version.
- In Settings, configure the default auto‑generated seam‑allowance width for shapes including polygons, rectangles and ovals.
Annotation
Purpose:
Insert or edit annotations on pattern pieces.
Operation Path:
Home ➡️ Annotation
Operation Instructions:
- Click blank area of the pattern piece to insert an annotation.
- Click the pattern sewing edge to place annotations along the edge, which can be used for production processes such as heat transfer printing.
- Select an annotation, then edit its content, rotation angle and font size (mm) in the right‑hand Property Editor.
- Double‑click to edit annotation text directly.
Grading
Purpose:
Allow users to grade pattern pieces, graphics, buttons, buttonholes and zippers, add new sizes and assign size names.

II. 2D Window
(1) 2D Floating Bar
Tool Description:
- The 2D pop‑up button in the window includes four modules: Fabric, 2D Color, Pattern and Length.
- Each module controls a distinct set of information.
- Click the left‑side arrow to show or hide the 2D pop‑up panel.
Fabric
Purpose:
Control four display options within the 2D Window: Texture Surface 2D, Mesh 2D, Cloth Translucent 2D, Grain Line 2D.
Operation Path:
2D Floating Bar ➡️ Fabric
Function Description:
Textured Surface(2D) | When enabled, fabric textures are displayed in the 2D Window. | |
When disabled, fabrics are shown in the default style. | ||
Mesh( 2D) | When enabled, mesh vertices that form the pattern pieces are displayed in the 2D Window. | |
Translucent Cloth(2D) | When enabled, pattern pieces are rendered in translucent style so overlapping sections can be viewed. | |
Grainline(2D) | When enabled, fabric grain‑direction lines are visible in the 2D Window. | |
Random Color(2D) | When enabled, random colors are applied to pattern in the 2D Window. |
2D Color
Purpose:
Control the color‑style display of pattern pieces in the 2D Window.
Operation Path:
2D Window ➡️ Color
Function Description:
Show 2D Colors | When enabled, colors for all 2D pattern pieces are displayed; when disabled, colors are hidden. | |
Snap | Pink indicator lines will be shown. | |
Link | Linked pattern segments are connected by orange line segments. | |
Elasticity | When elasticity is enabled, segments are displayed in green. | |
Fold | Different fold angles correspond to different colors. By default: green for 0°, blue for 180°, red for 360°. | |
Fix Pin | When enabled, yellow fix‑pin points are shown on the mesh. | |
Bonding&Seam Tape | When enabled, bonded areas are filled and highlighted in pink. |
Pattern
Purpose:
Control various information display of pattern pieces in the 2D Window.
Operation Path:

Function Description:
Pattern Name | When enabled, it displays DXF pattern piece names together with their assigned fabric style names, sourced from the Name field in the DXF file. | |
Pattern Annotation | When enabled, annotations placed on pattern pieces are displayed. | |
Internal Line 2D | When enabled, internal lines of 2D pattern pieces are shown. | |
Baseline 2D | When enabled, baseline lines of 2D pattern pieces are displayed. | |
Sewing Line 2D | When enabled, sewing‑connection relationships between 2D pattern pieces are visible. | |
Seam Allowance | When enabled, seam‑allowance outlines of pattern pieces are shown. | |
Grading | When enabled, grading information for pattern pieces is displayed. |
Length
Purpose:
Auxiliary function: display and measure dimension data for pattern edges or graphics within the 2D view.
Operation Path:
2D Window ➡️ Length
Function Description:
Edge Length | Display the length of all edges on pattern pieces. | |
Ruler | When enabled, length rulers are displayed along the borders of the 2D Window. | |
Guideline | Used for pattern positioning. Positioning guide lines can be generated by clicking points on lines, or dragged directly from the ruler to position pattern pieces. Guide lines are shown in pink. | |
Size Measurement | Measure the length of selected pattern edges. You may also view length data of selected edges for different sizes in the displayed table. | |
Magnetic Distance | Provides auto‑snap when moving or creating new points on pattern edges and internal lines. Snap points are displayed according to the preset fixed snap distance, and snap points are highlighted in bright red. (Note: Enable Smart Snap and Snap to Edge before using this feature.) |
(2) Menu in 2D Window (Right‑Click Blank Area)
Purpose:
Quick‑access to frequently‑used tools in the 2D view, including Guide, Hide, Lock, Paste and other functions.
