Operation Path:
Start ▶ Edit Pattern ▶ Select Pattern ▶ Property Editor ▶ Interfacing/Skive
Explanation:
Interfacing and skive are mutually exclusive functions. By default, when one is opened, the other is automatically closed and collapsed.
Feature Description:
Bonding | Provides additional structural support to the fabric, making the pattern more rigid, less prone to deformation, and less likely to form wrinkles. | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| Preset | Select software preset fusible interfacing or customize. | |
Stretch | |||
Bending | |||
Weight | Weight of the interfacing added to the pattern. | ||
Thickness | Thickness of the interfacing added to the pattern. | ||
Advanced | Bending Buckling Ratio | Higher values indicate the material is harder to bend (e.g., heavy cardboard interfacing with very high deformation resistance); lower values indicate the material bends more easily (e.g., lightweight tulle interfacing with low deformation resistance). | |
Bending Buckling Stiffness | Higher values mean the material resists bending more strongly (such as thick cardboard interfacing); lower values mean it bends more easily (such as thin tulle interfacing). | ||
Skiving | Thinning reduces the fabric’s thickness, improving the selected pattern piece’s extensibility and making it easier to stretch. | |
