Bonding/Skiving

Operation Path:

Start ▶ Edit Pattern ▶ Select Pattern ▶ Property Editor ▶ Interfacing/Skive

Explanation:

Interfacing and skive are mutually exclusive functions. By default, when one is opened, the other is automatically closed and collapsed.

Feature Description:

Bonding

Provides additional structural support to the fabric, making the pattern more rigid, less prone to deformation, and less likely to form wrinkles.

Preset

Select software preset fusible interfacing or customize.

Stretch

Bending

Weight

Weight of the interfacing added to the pattern.

Thickness

Thickness of the interfacing added to the pattern.

Advanced

Bending Buckling Ratio

Higher values indicate the material is harder to bend (e.g., heavy cardboard interfacing with very high deformation resistance); lower values indicate the material bends more easily (e.g., lightweight tulle interfacing with low deformation resistance).

Bending Buckling Stiffness

Higher values mean the material resists bending more strongly (such as thick cardboard interfacing); lower values mean it bends more easily (such as thin tulle interfacing).

Skiving

Thinning reduces the fabric’s thickness, improving the selected pattern piece’s extensibility and making it easier to stretch.

Percent

Fabric Thickness Thinning percent
