Outer Expansion
The “Outer Expansion Fill” function in Studio intelligently extends the pattern within a piece to its edge area.
Effect Before Fill

Effect After Fill

Operation Method: Assets▶Marker▶Settings▶Property Editor-Outer Expansion

Parameter Settings
Function | Description |
![]() | When enabled, adjusting the Outer Expansion value will apply the changes to all patterns simultaneously. |
![]() | The default value is 0. When a value greater than 0 is entered, the outline of each pattern will automatically expand by the specified amount, creating a Expansion Safety zone to prevent pattern intersections during automatic marking. In manual marking mode, this feature must be enabled for the protection to take effect. |
![]() | When enabled and values are entered for top/bottom/left/right, the graphics or textures on the pattern will extend outward in a rectangular shape according to the specified offset. |
![]() | After entering values, the graphics or textures will extend outward following the actual contour shape of the pattern, expanding according to the specified offset distance. |
Application Scenarios: In some print garment workflows, outer expansion areas and print reassembly are required during nesting to optimize fabric usage and size flexibility.
