Feature Overview

In UE, modify the vertex positions of pre-recorded clothing cache using brush dragging, and add smooth transitions between frames.
● Used to address cache penetration and other abnormal issues.
● Alternatively, add some post-shape changes.

Operation Steps

  1. Open the cache in Sequence and drag it to the target frame.
  1. Enter Edit mode and switch to Style3D GarmentCache.
● Select Edit mode in the upper left corner, as shown in the figure:
  1. Select the Style3D object to be edited.
  • After entering Edit mode, the cache editing window will appear, displaying information related to the current target cache.
  1. ● Click on the Actor containing the mounted Style3D component in the scene to activate the "Edit" button.
    1. Edit the cache frame.
    ● Parameter explanation:
    ○ SoftRadius: Smoothing radius. The range of influence on surrounding vertices when modifying vertex positions.
    ○ PreSmoothFrame: Number of frames for smooth transition forward after modification.
    ○ SufSmoothFrame: Number of frames for smooth transition backward after modification.
    ● Operation method:
○ 1. Click or drag to select the vertices whose positions need to be changed.
○ 2. Drag the popped-up wireframe to modify the position.
○ 3. After editing is complete, click "Accept" to smooth the single-frame modification to the previous and subsequent frames, or click "Cancel" to cancel the modification.
  1. Preview the modified cache and save the changes.
● After exiting the single-frame modification, you can see the effects of the modification on the previous and subsequent frames in Sequence.
● Click "Save Changes" to save the modifications to the disk. ● Click "Cancel Changes" to discard the modifications.
  1. Exit the cache frame modification.
● Switch back to Edit mode to exit the garment cache editing mode.
