Fix Pin-Box/Lasso
发布于:2024-09-04
Purpose:
Mesh: The foundational grid structure that forms a pattern piece, consisting of vertices, edges, and faces.
Pin: A virtual anchor point that constrains the position of mesh vertices. It is used to secure the garment to a target object (such as a human model) to ensure it does not shift during simulation.
The two are related as a “fundamental structure” and a “control tool”:
The mesh is the target on which pins act:Pins must be attached to mesh vertices in order to take effect. Without the mesh, pins would have no object to constrain.
Pins provide stability for the mesh:The mesh deforms based on physical simulation, but without pin constraints, it may drift or deform uncontrollably. By locking key vertices, pins ensure that mesh deformation follows physical rules while maintaining the intended position and shape.
Operation Path:
Home ▶ Fix Pin ▶Fix Pin (Box/Lasso/Beush)/ Select Mesh (Box/Lasso)
| Fix Pin Beush | By clicking or dragging a short distance with the Pin Tool on 2D/3D pattern pieces, you can accurately select single or small groups of mesh vertices and directly apply pin constraints. The tool supports pin size adjustment, cross-seam operation, and symmetry settings. |
Fix Pin Box | A tool that allows you to draw a rectangular selection box on 2D/3D pattern pieces to batch-select all mesh vertices within the box and apply pin constraints to them collectively.
Fix Pin Lasso | A tool that allows you to hand-draw an irregular outline on 2D/3D pattern pieces to select the mesh vertices within the outline and apply pin constraints to them.
Select Mesh Lasso | A tool that allows you to draw a rectangular selection box on 2D/3D pattern pieces to batch-select all mesh vertices within the box (selection only, without applying pin constraints).
Select Mesh Box | A tool that allows you to hand-draw an irregular lasso on 2D/3D pattern pieces to select all mesh vertices within the drawn contour (selection only, without applying pin constraints). |
Operation Instructions:
Select Mesh (Box/Lasso)
Fix Pin (Box/Lasso/Beush)
Pin Creation Shortcuts
Double-click an edge to create pins along the entire edge.
Double-click a non-edge point on a pattern to generate pins for the entire pattern.
In Simulation mode, use the Drag tool to select a pattern area, then press the H shortcut key to add pins to the selected area.
Delete Pins:Right-click a pin and choose one of the following options from the menu:Delete Selected Pins /Delete Pins on Selected Patterns/ Delete All Pins

Attach Pins to the Avatar:Right-click a selected pin and choose one of the following options:Attach to Avatar /Attach All Pins to Avatar /Detach All Pins from Avatar
