Flatten

Draw lines on the avatar with the Pen tool. Hold down Ctrl to add curve points while drawing lines, and hold Shift to draw horizontal/vertical lines. Lines on the avatar must not intersect with each other.

Select the first and last edges of the model by using the Edit Pattern tool, and select a whole circle of model lines by double-clicking on an edge.

Click "Enter" to create the corresponding part of the plate.
